Myntra cuts seller onboarding to 2 days

Myntra says AI has compressed seller onboarding from up to 15 days to about two, and rebuilt catalogs, fit and search around the same engine.

The signal
  • Seller onboarding now runs in about 1 to 2 days, down from 10 to 15, with registration in minutes.
  • Size and Fit Intelligence covers roughly 85% of eligible apparel and returns a recommendation in under two seconds.
  • Catalog creation is compressed to about four hours, with 400 to 600 product videos generated daily.

Fashion marketplace Myntra on 17 July detailed the next phase of its AI buildout, per InFashion Business, spanning seller onboarding, catalog infrastructure and shopper discovery. The pitch to brands is simple. Less time spent getting listed, and more time selling.

Faster onboarding, faster catalogs

The headline for sellers is speed. Myntra says its AI powered Seller Growth Hub has cut end to end onboarding from 10 to 15 days to roughly 1 to 2 days, with registration finishing in minutes. New sellers then receive daily operational nudges toward their first orders, and as they scale they unlock trend insights, performance dashboards and growth tools. On the catalog side, Myntra reports generating 400 to 600 dynamic product videos a day and compressing catalog creation from about a day to four hours. Supply chain simulations that took two days now run in an hour. For a small label, that gap decides whether you catch a demand spike or miss it.

Why the shopper side matters too

Discovery and fit sit at the core of the same effort. Myntra says its Size and Fit Intelligence now covers about 85% of the eligible apparel portfolio and returns a recommendation in under two seconds. Its assistant Meera resolves more than 30% of standard queries, and 90% of monthly active users now see personalized search. Sharon Pais, Head of Myntra, said AI is not a layer added on top but sits at the heart of how the platform operates. For a brand, better fit guidance means fewer size driven returns, and returns are where fashion order volumes quietly erode trade margins.

What an operator does with this

Treat this as a distribution advantage, not a headline. If listing is now a two day job, there is little reason to sit out Myntra while planning your next launch. Load rich catalogs, lean on the fit layer to cut return rates, and watch whether faster onboarding pulls more competitors into your category. Speed helps you, and it helps everyone else too.
