Trent Q1 revenue rises 19 percent as stores cross 1,300

Revenue up 19 percent

Trent, the Tata Group retailer that runs Westside and Zudio, reported a 19 percent year on year rise in standalone revenue to Rs 5,666 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, up from Rs 4,781 crore a year earlier, according to Apparel Resources. In dollar terms the figure was about 594.6 million, against 501.7 million in the same quarter last year. Revenue from the sale of merchandise, excluding other operating income, also grew 19 percent, the company said, attributing the performance to continued store expansion and steady demand in value fashion.

Store network crosses 1,300

Trent added a net of one Westside and 19 Zudio stores during the quarter, taking its portfolio to 1,312 stores as of 30 June 2026. That total includes 301 Westside outlets, 982 Zudio stores, of which seven are in the UAE, and 29 stores across other lifestyle concepts. The rapid Zudio buildout continues to anchor Trent’s expansion, particularly in smaller cities where value fashion demand is deepening. Analysts noted that the 19 percent growth was modestly below Street expectations, raising questions about the pace of same store sales even as gross store additions stayed healthy through the quarter.
