Kareena Kapoor Khan has moved from brand ambassador to equity investor in D2C footwear label Fizzy Goblet as it chases 100 crore rupees in revenue.

The signal
  • Kapoor has been Fizzy Goblet brand ambassador since April 2022 and now holds equity in the label.
  • The Noida based brand runs 16 company owned stores on an exclusive direct to consumer model.
  • It closed FY2024-25 at 36.9 crore rupees and is targeting more than 100 crore rupees within two years.
  • Footwear accounts for nearly 90 percent of sales, led by festive, comfort and workwear lines.

From ambassador to investor

Kareena Kapoor Khan has become a strategic investor in Fizzy Goblet, the Noida based handcrafted footwear brand founded by Laksheeta Govil in 2014, StartupTalky reported on 7 July 2026. Kapoor, associated with the label as brand ambassador since April 2022, will now hold equity, join the design selection process and help drive awareness in India and international markets. The company declined to disclose the size of her investment.

Fizzy Goblet operates on an exclusive direct to consumer model with 16 company owned stores and no marketplace presence, up from four stores in April 2022. It closed FY2024-25 at 36.9 crore rupees in revenue, runs at a roughly 60 crore rupees run rate and is targeting more than 100 crore rupees within two years. Footwear accounts for nearly 90 percent of sales, led by festive, comfort and workwear lines.

Why it matters

Celebrity equity tie ups are becoming a template for Indian D2C brands seeking reach without heavy paid media, as customer acquisition costs climb. For founders, the Fizzy Goblet deal shows how a long running ambassador relationship can convert into aligned ownership, giving the brand a marketing engine and design input while the investor shares in the upside. It also signals confidence in an all offline and own website strategy at a time when many peers lean on marketplaces.
