Wellbeing Nutrition loses 38 paise per rupee in FY26

Wellbeing Nutrition doubled operating revenue to Rs 244 crore in FY26 while net loss widened to Rs 92 crore, about 38 paise for every rupee earned. Advertising grew slower than revenue, so the loss sits in materials and costs the filing does not itemise.

The signal
  • Operating revenue roughly doubled to Rs 244 crore in FY26 from Rs 118 crore, a rise of about 107 per cent.
  • Net loss widened to Rs 92 crore from Rs 38 crore, about 38 paise lost per rupee of revenue against roughly 32 paise in FY25.
  • Advertising rose 78.7 per cent to Rs 109 crore, slower than revenue, so marketing is not what widened the loss.
  • Materials more than doubled to Rs 106 crore and total cost ran at Rs 1.39 per revenue rupee. The source names no filing entity and does not say standalone or consolidated.

Wellbeing Nutrition, the supplements brand founded in 2019, more than doubled revenue from operations to Rs 244 crore in FY26 from Rs 118 crore, about 107 per cent. Net loss widened to Rs 92 crore from Rs 38 crore, which Entrackr, reporting on 21 October 2026, puts at 2.4 times. Divide one by the other: the company lost about 38 paise for every rupee of revenue booked, worse than roughly 32 paise in FY25.

The instinct is to blame marketing. These numbers do not support it. Advertising and promotional spend rose 78.7 per cent to Rs 109 crore from Rs 61 crore, slower than the 107 per cent revenue rise, so it fell as a share of revenue from about 52 per cent to about 45 per cent. Taken alone, that is an improvement.

The loss came from the lines around it. Total expenditure grew 115.3 per cent to Rs 338 crore, faster than revenue, which is the arithmetic of a widening loss. Cost of materials consumed more than doubled to Rs 106 crore, about 43 paise of every revenue rupee, with no FY25 materials figure given to compare. That leaves roughly Rs 123 crore in expense lines the summary does not itemise. Total cost ran at Rs 1.39 per rupee of operating revenue. Entrackr reports an EBITDA margin of minus 34.43 per cent and ROCE of minus 425 per cent, with no absolute EBITDA figure.

For anyone selling supplements on marketplaces, a doubling does not pay for itself unless gross margin comes with it. The portfolio spans collagen supplements, oral strips, marine collagen, slow release capsules and effervescent tablets, formats near the nutraceutical classification boundary that carry real input cost. Innovist filed days earlier with revenue up 2.8 times and a pre-tax profit, the same growth rate with input cost held down.

Two things the source withholds. It never names the legal filing entity, and it does not say whether the figures are standalone or consolidated: it credits financial statements reviewed by Entrackr, with no mention of the Registrar of Companies. There is no cash balance, no employee cost and no runway detail. Current assets stood at Rs 91 crore. Entrackr says USV agreed in February 2026 to acquire a 79 per cent stake at a Rs 1,583 crore valuation, with a partial or full exit for existing investors, so D2C brand acquisition readiness is settled here.
