ADIA, Fireside in talks for Rs 350 crore consumer brand bets
Sovereign fund ADIA and Fireside Ventures are reported to be in advanced talks to put over Rs 350 crore into two premium consumer brands, Beyond Appliances and Troovy.
- Reported deals total over Rs 350 crore across two brands, still in talks
- Beyond Appliances is in line for Rs 120 to 170 crore at a Rs 300 to 350 crore valuation
- Troovy is negotiating Rs 150 to 200 crore, valuing it at Rs 400 to 500 crore
- ADIA is a Fireside LP and is increasingly co-investing directly into portfolio brands
The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Fireside Ventures are in advanced talks to deploy more than Rs 350 crore across two premium consumer brands, according to reports dated 23 July. Neither deal is closed. Smart-home and kitchen-appliance brand Beyond Appliances is in late-stage discussions to raise Rs 120 to 170 crore from ADIA, with existing backer Fireside participating, at a valuation of about Rs 300 to 350 crore. Children’s clean-label nutrition brand Troovy is negotiating Rs 150 to 200 crore led by ADIA, at a valuation of Rs 400 to 500 crore.
Beyond Appliances reported revenue of Rs 28 crore in FY25, up from Rs 21 crore a year earlier, with losses narrowing to Rs 8 crore from Rs 12 crore. ADIA is a limited partner in Fireside, and the structure points to a growing pattern of the sovereign fund co-investing directly into a VC’s portfolio to write larger cheques.
Why it matters
The thesis behind both bets is the same: affluent, premium discretionary spending is holding up even as mass-market consumption stays soft. Sovereign capital moving directly into early-stage consumer brands is a signal about where investors see durable pricing power, appliances and kids nutrition being categories parents and premium households do not trim first. For founders, the read is that the premiumisation lane is funded while value-led plays face a tougher room. These figures are reported and the rounds are not final, so treat the numbers as a negotiating range rather than settled terms.
